Different Types Of Students: Those Who Do Term Papers And Those Who Don’t

Students are now taught early on in school to identify their learning type. It becomes apparent quite quickly that this is only an exercise and is usually not applied to any of the student’s schooling. This flaw in the education system, of using a one-fits-all method, means that some students are left far behind even though they could excel in a system that favored them. One of the most obvious differences is those who are able to write down their ideas clearly and those that get lost in their own avalanche of knowledge.

Which Type Of Student Are You?

In case you have forgotten the theory about what types of students there are, because it wasn’t used again after taught early on in school, here are the main ones again: visual, auditory, kinesthetic and academic.

We can now go through these with a very basic description. Visual means that you need to see things being done or photos to learn how something is done. You would prefer the teacher to show you, rather than tell you.

The complete opposite of this is an auditory learner. This kind of student wants something to be explained. With a clear set of instructions spoken, sung or set to music, they will normally find learning the process much quicker and easier.

Kinesthetic are those learners that need to be constantly moving, being actively involved and exploring to get to grips with a topic.

The final type of learner is the academic. This is the more traditional type of learner, one that excels in reading and writing right from the beginning of their education.

Although this certainly over simplifies the learning personalities, it can be used as a rough guide for each student. This might not be helpful when considering the education system is skewed towards academic learners but it can help with self-study and preparing for exams.

Unfair Advantage

It is clear from this set up of learning types that one student has a huge advantage over the others when it comes to writing papers. For students of the other types of learning this will not be surprising news. Each one has experienced knowing a subject really well without being able to express this understanding in written form.

Academic learners continue to be able to study less and have a narrower understanding of the topic but come out with papers with a high grade. This is clearly an issue with the assessment and education systems, but one that is probably not going to be altered any time soon.

Helping Level The Playing Field

In the meantime, there are fantastic companies that are working to make things fairer when it comes to completing assignments like term papers and research essays. By employing academic learner types to be writers they have extended paper help to many other types of students. Not only does this level the playing field but it also addresses this flaw in the system, allowing all kinds of learners to be able to achieve the grade they deserve.
